In Issue #159 of the Betty and Veronica Double Digest, 'Coaching Problem' is a story about playing baseball (Betty: quite good at it; Veronica: afraid of breaking a nail). Standard. But tonight Lucy read further into the issue and said, "You should read this one!" and indeed, the story 'She's a Card' has its moments, a few of which are depicted above.
Growing up, I always found Betty more complex, shall we say. Well, in this escapade, Veronica Lodge's scheming use of her wealth is rather clever. And the result is that Mr. Lodge, her father--whose firm coincidentally to the story JUST ACQUIRED the Tipps Trading Card Company--takes her to the Tipps vault and says, "You're welcome to anything you find."
Veronica! Okay! You win. UNCLE.
