It gets depressing how many Vladimir Guerrero cards we end up with. New packs, old packs, it's Guerrero here, Vlad there. At least he is usually smiling. Whereas we have just a few David Wrights, three Curtis Grandersons, and by the way, hardly ever do we get an autograph or a game-used.
How do you guys out there do it? How? How? How? Do you buy lots of packs? Can you touch a pack and Just Know? How do you get so many autos and relics? Is your power mystical?

I never had much luck with memorabilia cards either. I pulled a Smoltz jersey card out of a Heritage box last week, and got a couple of autographs from a ton of 2005 UD Past Pennants packs also last week. The key seems to be buying boxes, not just packs, and more often hobby boxes rather than retail (although my Smoltz came from Kmart).
And although people say retail boxes are not great, around this past Christmas for some reason every time we bought a blaster we got an auto or two in one box. That era seems to have passed. :(
