The Mets should sign Orlando Hudson.

We were able to see him play quite a bit last year for the Arizona Diamondbacks, and let us tell you: Orlando Hudson hustles. He's got a positive, upbeat energy that would be helpful to the malaise-ridden Mets. We need players that dive and lunge and launch and spin. We realize that the Royals want O-Dog, and likely will get him, but we think he'd make a mighty Met. Plus, he has an intriguing signature that is careful and yet doesn't seem to have anything to do with his actual name.

Evidently that is Orlando Hudson with a "t". (or two or quite possibly three...)

I like Hudson too, but where would the Mets play him? Is someone going to take Castillo off of our hands? I'd much prefer to have Hudson than Castillo but we have 3 more season of Luis and his 80yr old knees!

Wouldn't be a bad addition at 2nd base.

Until you can find some sucker to take Castillo off your hands you're out of luck. O-Dog is a good player though.

I think the weirdness on the signature is simply an overactive crossbar on the H.

Where would the Mets play him? Castillo is in the way?

Why must reality's intelligent questions build a hope blockade so soon? For a few moments in spring, can we not dream?

I would have loved to see Orlando Hudson join the Mets this year, but I don't think the team has enough money to pay him and Luis Castillo to play second base.

O-Hud should sign somewhere, then the O's could finally lock up B-Rob's extension.
