
We happened to see her on a talk show and antiques dealer Bernice Gallego said her agent believed she would get one million dollars for the 1869 baseball card that she found "in a box of junk" and originally listed on eBay for $10. That may have been a bit ambitious: the final auction value price was $64,073.
Nevertheless, that amount is more than double the record set for the card, of which only a handful are known to exist. The Peck and Snyder advertisement features the Cincinnati Red Stockings, led by Hall of Famers Harry and George Wright.
