Rollie Fingers quandary. Goudey question.

This card just sold for $13.26 and $2.95 shipping on eBay. Two questions. Isn't Rollie "ThreePeat" Fingers missing what makes him instantly identifiable? And if the card depicted him WITH the mustachio, would it have sold for more? According to Wikipedia, "In addition to his pitching ability, he was noted for his handlebar moustache which he originally grew to get a $300 bonus from Athletics owner Charles O. Finley. Although most former A's players shaved their handlebar moustaches off after the team traded most of their players in 1975-76, Fingers maintained it after signing with the San Diego Padres as a free agent in 1977, and still has the moustache today."

Rollie Fingers without a handlebar mustache is like ________ without a __________.

day without sunshine.

and if rollie were SMRT, he would have colored in the mustache while signing the card; now that would be worth $13.26 plus $2.95 shipping....

A fish without gills, a field without grass, a baseball card without stats--it's just wrong!

...is like a day without sunshine, laughter and fuzzy bunnies hopping merrily through the grass.

or alternately like a pack of Goudey without a short print.
