Six in 30: current Mets binder.

In an attempt to cheer myself up while the big kids play in, well, the playoffs, given a 30-second time limit, I pulled a half dozen Mets cards that make me happy. No David Wrights here because he's in his own binder. O-Pee-Chee is similar to Goodwin Champions: a pleasant interlude of a baseball card set for 2009. Nothing wildly annoying, many nice shots, and a low-key design that isn't retro so much as familiar. This is a good semi-action shot, including some dirtsmoke and full catcher gear. Plus Brian Schneider's eyes look like those of a worried little boy.
Card trumps player here: Reyes is not a favorite. But what great midair moment baseball cards. Plus they're shiny. Plus one is blue!
Petulant Jeff, who plays well for the Mets. This is a bat bit from dayf, who used to have this guy on his team. But doesn't that seem long ago? Has this baseball season been going on for a very, very long time?
Again, card trumps player; we like the shiny Mets logo. In the "make you feel ancient" department, please note that Jonathon Niese was born October 27, 1986--the same night that his future team, the Mets, won Game 7 of the '86 World Series.

Beltran pre-Met. Good-looking flag card. The planet earf in the "O" is a nice touch.

Interesting tidbit on Jonathon Niece.I wonder where he was born.If his family were Mets fans, that would really be special!I also like the blue refractors a lot.
