With news of the alarming Eggo Waffle shortage,
the staff at Dinged Corners has decided to join with a group of social workers, bakers, and generic experts to work around the clock to formulate other waffle plans, "back-up waffle squads" if you will, to cope with the tough days ahead.
As part of this approach, we think that baseball cards should be placed in specially marked boxes of Alternate Waffles.
This will not only increase the popularity of Alternate Waffles, and thus ease the Eggo shortage, it will also increase the popularity of baseball cards amongst the people who eat waffles most, which we assume would be kids? (If anyone has current market research handy that would dispute this, please forward it here.) Or, if there proves to be a truly catastrophic waffle shortage, perhaps we can fashion baseball cards in to waffle shapes to get the word out?
Thank you to the responsible citizenry of the baseball card blogworld for stepping up in this time of national need.

Kroger waffles are great. Less expensive than the ripoff eggos. I"m glad Eggo is having the issue.
By eating Krogers over eggos, I"m saving money that I can put towards cards. ;)
No other toaster waffle "does it for me" quite like an Eggo does. I eat 2 every morning. They're so good I eat them straight up. No syrup. No jam.
Thanks for the heads up. If anyone needs me I'll be in the lab formulating Breakfast Plan B.
Heh, Georgia screwed up the waffles. I am not surprised. This is most likely part of a hidden conspiracy to force America to get their waffles from Waffle House.
Works for me.
Is that one of the new Wacky Packages?
Does this mean I can take the Eggo waffles that are in my freezer right now and sell them on eBay for 500 dollars (per waffle)? Hmmmm.
I better start rationing the ever famous Waffle PB&J&B to two times a week.
I've got an answer.
Eggos make good buns for sandwiches. Nothing quite like an eggo burger or an egg-o sammich. I will try other-branded round waffles with tuna next! :)
