Give us Bay, Hudson and Holliday. Please.

A Holliday on Hudson Bay would refresh the team, upgrade areas of need, and make fans happy.

Is that too much to ask? What Omar Minaya will give us instead: Kelvim Escobar (done) and probably Bengie Molina. Just remember that it's Jason Bay, Orlando Hudson and Matt Holliday who would do the trick. You heard it here. In fact, I'd settle for just Bay and Holliday. *sigh* So why do I know that Omar's "big announcement" tomorrow will not bring joy to Mudville?

I swear if he announces signing some other veteran who lives on the disabled list I will root for another team and I am a die hard mets fans. I just can't take another crappy signing of these nobodies.

Sad to say, I'm just about there, too. Maybe when they get rid of Minaya I can enjoy the Mets again.

Welcome to Cleveland !! We've been enjoying (enduring)that situation for a while now.Cleveland and Detroit once traded managers.Maybe teams should try trading owners and GMs.

In the immortal words of Bluto:

"My advice to you is to start drinking heavily"

I'd listen to him. He's in pre-med.

If you still want Jason Bay, you can have him. I'd rather have scrubs that actually want to play for the Mets.

I'm going to guess that Francessa's big announcement is not going to be very newsworthy -- none of the beat writers have had anything about a possible player signing.

I'm not on the Orlando Hudson bandwagon like last year. Wasn't he benched in the playoffs and down the stretch with the Dodgers? Of course, he doesn't drop pop-ups like the current 2B the Mets have.

Bay and Holliday is a must. We need to do something to narrow the gap with the Phils. Being healthy isn't enough.

Hey,

At least your not fans of the Padres. You want to talk about bad front office? Pads.

Can we have Delgado back in Toronto? You can have HolliBAY and Hudson. We miss Carlos.

Just saw the Peter Gammons quote, “Jason Bay would rather play in Beirut than Queens.”

If that’s true, then I retract my Bay hopes. That's the exact attitude we don't need. Really, what we need is hustle. And yes, I'm all for young talent, and building them up. I'd much rather have a non-playoffs season with a team of players who want to be there and are working toward getting better.

In fact, I think we should not be providing leverage for him to sign with another team. Let him twist in the wind and LET'S GET HOLLIDAY.

Pagan in left is ok, by the way.

Thank you for pointing out this insult, paulsrandomstuff. That's what I get for not keeping up with sports news over Christmas.

Roy-Z, yes, you may have him back.
PS Why? Not that he's not a nice fellow, because he is.
James, Orlando would play well for us. Gut feeling.
G and BD, I'll put up our stinkin' front office against yours anytime. There's none worse.

And per Mike Francessa, we will be welcoming Mr. Bay to New York to start the New Year. Hopefully this will turn out better than I expect it to.
