Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth,

And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings.

from a poem by John Magee, Jr. Justin Mashore is currently the hitting coach of the Auburn Doubledays.

Clearly, that is a poem about baseball. A line or two later:

- and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence.

That's not turning a double play?
Trotting off a home run?
Swinging at Chin Music?
During an Expos Day Game?

There were several Magees that played major league ball. Perhaps they and the poet are related.

A+. Here's hoping that you find a card to post for "the tumbling mirth."
