A Baseball-Card-History Match Game.

We're almost ready to post a review of the new book Mint Condition: How Baseball Cards Became an American Obsession, but in the meantime, reading so much baseball card history has inspired a game.

Can you  match the first and correct last name from baseball card history listed below? For example, if you saw "Abner" on the top list, you'd match it with "Doubleday" from the bottom list.

The first commenter to do so wins our eternal admiration, respect, and who knows what else. We hope it's not too easy. We'll check back this evening to see the results.

First names:
ENOS
LEWIS

JEFFERSON
FRANK

ANDREW
WILLIAM

PAUL
CHARLES
SY
J. WARREN

Last names:
PECK

WRIGLEY
THOMPSON

CONLON
BERGER
BOWMAN

I only actually knew about four of these. The rest are guesses. It looks like an interesting book--it's on my "to read" list now. :)
